Nicholas J. Montesano began his career in the Vertical Transportation Industry in 1979, serving as an apprentice for Millar Elevator Industries. He was promoted to maintenance mechanic upon completing a four-year apprenticeship training program supervised by IBEW. He has particular expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting solid state vertical transportation equipment.

In April of 1984, Nicholas J. Montesano joined DTM. With the guidance of his father, Nicholas’ knowledge in elevator and escalator conception, design and analysis enhanced his expertise. Mr. Montesano’s current position as President requires his involvement in a full scope of activities in relation to the vertical transportation industry. His responsibilities include marketing, management, supervision, and a direct involvement with field operations and performance of surveys. Nicholas Montesano is a CEIS certified inspector, is licensed by the New York City Department of Buildings as an inspector and co-director.
